Idyllic Italian self catering holiday home........

Nestled in its own gardens this private home is a luxury holiday hideaway just 100 metres from the lake (and just 45 seconds drive from Villa Oleandra, George Clooney's Lake Como home). Laid out over 3 levels, Villa Casa Fontana is a third of a grand old house built in the 1920's. The house sleeps 4 adults in two double/twin bedrooms and two children in our converted cantina - which has bunk beds and its very own porthole window. Every room (and the garden) has breathtaking views of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains and villages on the far shore.

Villa Casa Fontana is situated just where Laglio meets the ancient village of Carate Urio on the west shore with many of the famous Lake Como hotels, like Villa d’este, close by. Narrow stepped pathways and romantic footbridges link the characteristically old lake villas to the shore. Shopping is typical of a small village with a handful of café-bars and restaurants where you are guaranteed a warm welcome, great coffees, wines and of course fantastic food!
